Firgas

Firgas is a town and a municipality in the northern part of the island of Gran Canaria, in the Province of Las Palmas, in the Canary Islands. Its population is 7,628 (2013), and its area is 15.77 km². Firgas was founded in 1488, and it is situated in the mountains, 13 km west of Las Palmas.
