Als tegenwicht voor het massavermaak aan de boulevard is er Waterkant. Met een handbediende pont om het water over te steken, gaat u naar het mooiste grasterras van Den Haag, waar u een roeibootje kunt huren en iets kunt eten en drinken. Waterkant ligt midden in het Rosarium van het Westbroekpark

The Waterkant is the oldest and one of the most important streets of Paramaribo, Suriname. The street is located in the historic centre on the Suriname River, and was the location where ships used to arrive.
