Lake Vermilion

Lake Vermilion is a shallow freshwater lake in northeastern Minnesota, United States. The Ojibwe called the lake Onamanii-zaaga'iganiing, which means “the evening sun tinting the water a reddish color”. French fur traders translated this as Vermilion, a red color.
