Alloa is the largest town in the historic county of Clackmannanshire in central Scotland. It is situated on the north bank of the River Forth, with the Ochil Hills forming a glorious background. Official records first mention Alloa as a small hamlet clustered round the Tower of the Erskines.

Alloa is a town in Clackmannanshire in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. It is on the north bank of the Forth at the spot where some say it ceases to be the River Forth and becomes the Firth of Forth.
