Lindau (Bodensee) ist eine große Kreisstadt und der Verwaltungssitz des gleichnamigen Landkreises im bayerischen Regierungsbezirk Schwaben. Die Stadt, bis 1803 freie Reichsstadt, liegt am östlichen Ufer des Bodensees im Dreiländereck Deutschland–Österreich–Schweiz.

Lindau is a major town and island on the eastern side of Lake Constance in Bavaria, Germany. It is the capital of the county (Landkreis) of Lindau, Bavaria and is near the borders of the Austrian state of Vorarlberg, and the Swiss cantons of St. Gallen and Thurgau.
